The list to choose from to vote is way to short and has some names that certainly don't belong in a list of best directors. I mean George Lucas?? i love Star Wars, and am a huge fan, but i would never ever consider him to be a great director.

I don't know how you can say anyone except George Lucas. Regardless of your thoughts of him, he has created the biggest franchise of all time, and has a repository of amazing movies behind him. No matter how much you may feel he screwed up Star Wars, it is still a cultural phenomenon.
