Status Quo will strip back for their first unplugged album.

The veteran UK rock band have re-recorded acoustic versions of 20 of their songs for 'Aquostic (Stripped Bare)', due next week.

'We've got a good combination of tracks but some of the lovely ballads that I've always wanted to do never fitted the criteria of a Status Quo rock show,' Rick Parfitt said.

'Some were surprised by what worked that we thought wouldn't and vice versa,' said Francis Rossi.
