Rickie Fowler has had no problem with Erin Hills' tricky layout. The fan favorite is trying to win his first major championship, and he is in good shape at this week's U.S. Open.
After grabbing a one-shot lead Thursday, Fowler had to keep his foot on the pedal in Round 2 with Brooks Koepka surging up the leaderboard.

That putt moved Fowler to 9 under for the tournament, tied atop the leaderboard with Koepka.
With winds down and the course a bit damper than the USGA had hoped for, players are having a field day through the first two rounds. It will be interesting to see if the course firms up over the weekend, providing players with a normal U.S. Open challenge.
