Inactive (very low usage) accounts - 21/02/15

Starting in June 2015 we will start disabling users who do not use the site. This means that accounts with a (counted) download amount of less than 1GB per week (on average!) will be disabled. You can see your download per week amount in your profile. See the FAQ for more information.

 

We hope this will clear out some space for new users and encourage some users to start using the site (again/more). Of course, we're also interested in knowing why you are using the site so little, so please feel free to shoot us a PM or use the forum to give us feedback as to what we might do to make you start using the site more!

 

We appreciate that this might seem a little unfair, but almost all of you use the site far more than this. It really is a very low threshold.

More than eight years'm HDBits user. Today, to my surprise, to access my home server, I realized that my account was disabled.
I have not received any notice by email, no message inbox. What would be the reason?
My reputation on the site was respectable, kept files to other users for years and years. I was never to download files and then delete without sharing.
My share ratio was above 5.

Let me know what the reason for disabling my account ??

The strangest is the HDBits support in IRC. If you had your disabled account or banned, you can not talk to anyone for at least know what happened.

I'm not sure if this is how the staff will add more users, or attract those who are absent. I understand that the idea is to move more the tracker, but not banning without warning it will improve something. Anyway, here is just a feeling of sadness, for betting on a project for so many years so over 8 years.

Sorry to hear that mate, but this is the way they are, they don't care who are you and how old user you are.

They only care about their fame. Anyway there are lot more HD Tracker out there which can cover anyones need.

Give them a try, you will not regret it!
