Iggy Azalea slams record label

Iggy Azalea has publicly slammed her Australian record label.

The 24-year-old rapper took to Twitter on Thursday to deliver a disappointed rant about the way the company has dealt with her image. She is claiming they gave Cosmopolitan and Maxim magazines permission to use and print outdated photos of her.

'Im going to publicly say something to the australian division of my record label right now because my message seems to be ignored privately (sic),' Iggy began.

The Fancy singer had apparently already attempted to reach out to her record label on a less public forum to express her concerns. They were seemingly not addressed, so the star went ahead and blasted the message to her 2.82 million Twitter followers.

'stop giving permission on my behalf for magazines to purchase images of me that have already been printed in major publications for covers,' Iggy pleaded with the company allegedly responsible.

'australian label, i love you guys but you allowed my image to be sold to cosmo Aus when i told you i would prefer for that not to happen. and now this morning i see you've allowed maxim australia to buy an image from a 2011 complex mag shoot and put it on the cover (sic).'

But the Black Widow hitmaker was sure to add a dose of constructive criticism to the equation.

She explained that she thinks it's 'awesome' that a magazine would be interested in having her on its cover but that it was done the wrong way.

'the australian label clearly aren't respecting my wishes. a magazine cover deserves an accompanying photoshoot not a reused image,' Iggy elaborated, before extending a note to the magazine in question. 'maxim australia, thanks for the love and I'm sorry no one asked me. i would have love to have given an interview & done a shoot with u guys (sic).'

This is not her only feisty Twitter engagement of late, as she spent the earlier part of this week feuding with Snoop Dogg. After much back and forth the veteran rapper apologised and Iggy graciously accepted, saying: 'I appreciate the apology @snoopdogg'.
