It seems that sometimes the fight against child porn does get some results. The news emerged that one of the American missionaries was caught sexually abusing girls from an indigenous tribe in the Amazon and for some reason uploading pictures of him doing this to the web. Local media revealed that Warren Kennell admitted to befriending and abusing kids while he was establishing a church for the New Tribes mission.
 

The reporters point out that the missionary may have gotten away with his crimes had he not decided to upload film of his doings on a child porn site. Of course, this tipped off Homeland Security that searched the missionary after stopping him upon arrival in Orlando. As expected, they have found a number of digital storage devices containing sexually explicit images involving kids.

Kennell is said to have admitted he was the individual shown abusing a girl in one of the pictures and had taken a picture of a second girl. Eventually, about a thousand images of child porn were found on missionary’s PC. As a result, he was sentenced to 56 years in prison.
Of course, this case has put a slight damper on the US New Tribes mission in South America. The authorities admit that the missionary project in question was supposed to help people get out of hell and damnation that they did not know they had to experience until Warren Kennell appeared. According to the New Tribes website, “mankind’s greatest need is Jesus”. It also claims that the missionaries help develop caring relationships with tribal people and meet physical needs – voluntarily, because of Christ’s love. Unfortunately, tit didn’t specify whose physical needs were meant.

A spokeswoman for the ministry claimed that the mission was shock by the news. Everyone would agree that kids should be protected, not hurt, so the mission expressed gratitude to the authorities for the prosecution of Kennell despite international legal obstacles.
