wi.to: New Freehoster for Music Files

With wi.to was launched a new freehoster, which focuses solely on the sharing of music files. The service wants to stand out by its user-friendliness, clarity and speed of the competition. There should be no visitors annoyed by rip-off links or too much advertising.

wi.to: pure minimalism

wi.to was already launched before Share-Online.biz was uploaded. Nevertheless, the Bust has created a gap that is currently trying to close various providers. If you are interested in audio files, you should take a look at the new competitor wi.to. A remuneration is not provided there. So no PPD (Pay Per Download) and no commission for the mediation of paid premium subscriptions (PPS), because there are not there.

No PPS & no PPD available!

Pure minimalism. That was the slogan the founder spent from the beginning. No superfluous buttons, just a single popup with ads, done! Archives packed with lha, rar or zip etc. are not allowed. wi.to only accepts the raw data from the songs. Allowed endings for uploads are exclusively aac, f4a, m4a, mp3, oga, ogg and last, but not least wav. The maximum size of a single file is 50 MB, larger files reject the page. You can either download the songs from there or listen to them as you like.

RIAA has already been active

As the founder informed us by e-mail, there were already the first legal steps that the RIAA has taken. Through a telegram group chat, members of the American Music Association have found their way to wi.to. The RIAA sent a criminal law order under US law, called the American Subpoena. Of course, there is the option for rightsholders to report violations of copyright by DMCA deletion request, which will be processed promptly according to the information provided by the operator. But the RIAA has apparently opted directly for a court order. Cloudflare should make a statement. The CDN provider should reveal the real name of the hitherto anonymous operator of wi.to.
