A HARROW schoolboy dubbed the 'Asian Great Gatsby' who partied with Alicia Keys and Paris Hilton is facing investigation into a alleged huge £3bn fraud.

Jho Low, 38, - real name Low Taek Jho - has become a playboy icon in the US and is regularly seen flaunting huge wealth at exclusive Vegas and Hollywood parties.

Just six years ago, he celebrated his birthday party surrounded by guests such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro and even had Britney Spears emerge from a giant cake to sing Happy Birthday.

But he now is said to be under investigation in one of the world's biggest ever fraud probes.

According to the the U.S. Justice Department, Low is involved in the audacious theft of at least $4.5 billion from a giant Malaysian government investment fund.

He has been charged with money laundering and receiving stolen property in both Singapore and Malaysia.

In America, Low only faces civil action, but the Justice Department alleges he helped siphon off billions between 2009 and 2015, the Daily Mail reports.

US authorities say they have been looking to seize assets worth hundreds of millions of pounds including art, jewellery and property.

Several of the mansions are believed to be in London.

Indonesia has already helped confiscate a £190 million superyacht and Singapore seized a private jet which he had used to travel around the world.

A spokesman for Low claimed the actions were 'politically motivated' and denied any wrongdoing.

A statement said: "[It is] disappointing that, rather than reflecting on the deeply flawed and politically motivated allegations, the DoJ is continuing with its pattern of global reach — all based on unsupported claims of wrongdoing'."

Defending himself on his website, Low said: 'With hindsight I may have done things differently, like any young person, but any mistakes I made do not amount to the sweepingly broad and destructive allegations made against me.'
