Redacted introduces Album Voting

The Redacted community is now home to the most diverse library of music available on any private tracker thanks to the tireless efforts of every single member who has taken time to upload. The software on which the Redacted site is built, Gazelle, contains an incredibly powerful tool to help everyone discover this amazing library: The Album Votes feature. We wanted to take a moment to highlight its importance as it can be very useful in helping you navigate our library to discover new music.

On every album group's page, you will see the Album Votes feature interface in a small box on the right-hand side:



As more people provide their opinions on the album, the list of recommended albums on the page populates, and this is your opportunity to start exploring!



A few notes to help you get the most accurate possible recommendations:

Get in the habit of upvoting your new favorites as you discover them! Focus on upvoting instead of downvoting. Little is gained by putative downvotes against a popular album that does not suit your taste. Be granular - upvote a favorite artist's couple best albums rather than every release.

Why not take a few moments to upvote your top-ten favorite albums right now? You will be helping yourself find new music, helping others with similar tastes, and even influencing others to snatch additional albums in the future.
