  1. Jennifer Hudson is too afraid of spiders to even walk past one. The 33-year-old singer-and-actress might come across as feisty and fearless to her fans, but there is one thing she is completely scared of. "I'm terrified of spiders," she shuddered to People magazine. "I normally go through the side door of my house, but the other day I couldn't. You think you can just run right by it, but no, this spider was the size of the palm of my hand! Just thinking about it I'm cringing." Alongside her career, Jennifer raises five-year-old David with her fiancé David Otunga. Although she deserves a treat, the star reins in her spending. "I almost bought a Ferrari!" she shared. "I went to a car dealership and drove it and everything. Then I was like, 'You don't even really drive, why would you spend all this money on a car?' But in my mind, I bought it." Luckily her beau David treats her to special things. Jennifer recalled the last thing he gifted her - personalised charm bracelets for her birthday in September. And her little boy is constantly showering her with affection, too. "Oh, my baby says [i love you] all the time," she grinned. "I was gone for a few days for the album, and that night he's just squeezing me and giving me the biggest hugs. He told me he missed me and loved me over and over again." 2. Like many other "hacked" celebrities, Jennifer Lawrence is not happy that her leaked nudes are being distributed freely on the Internet. To deal with the fallout she sent her lawyers after sites helping to distribute the photos. This includes Google, who took action this week after a careful inspection of the infringing material. Over the past several weeks hundreds of photos of naked celebrities leaked online. This “fappening†triggered a massive takedown operation targeting sites that host and link to the controversial images. As a hosting provider and search engine Google inadvertently plays a role in distributing the compromising shots, much to the displeasure of the women involved. More than a dozen of them sent Hollywood lawyer Marty Singer after the company. Earlier this month Singer penned an angry letter to Google threatening legal action if it doesn’t remove the images from YouTube, Blogspot and its search results. “It is truly reprehensible that Google allows its various sites, systems and search results to be used for this type of unlawful activity. If your wives, daughters or relatives were victims of such blatant violations of basic human rights, surely you would take appropriate action,†the letter reads. While no legal action has yet been taken, some celebrities have also sent individual DMCA takedown requests to Google. On September 24 Jennifer Lawrence’s lawyers asked the search engine to remove two links to thefappening.eu as these infringe on the star’s copyrights. The DMCA takedown request Earlier this week the request was still pending, so TorrentFreak asked Google what was causing the delay. The company said it could not comment on individual cases but a day later the links in question were removed. This means that both the thefappening.eu main domain and the tag archive of Jennifer Lawrence posts no longer appear in Google’s search results. Whether this move has helped Lawrence much is doubtful though. The site in question had already redirected its site to a new domain at thefappening.so. These links remain indexed since they were not mentioned in the takedown request. The good news is that many of Lawrence’s pictures are no longer hosted on the site itself. In fact, the URLs listed in the takedown request to Google no longer show any of the infringing photos in question, so technically Google had no obligation to remove the URLs. A prominent disclaimer on the site points out that the operator will gladly take down the compromising photos if he’s asked to do so. Needless to say, this is much more effective than going after Google. Add Rep and Leave a feedback Reputation is the green button in the down right corner on my post
  3. Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight has bagged itself a new leading lady, with Jennifer Jason Leigh signing on to join the project. Leigh will be appearing as Daisy Domergue, a woman wanted for murder who is set to hang just as soon as she is transported back to the nearest city. However, the stagecoach carrying her and a host of similarly colourful characters is forced off the road by a blizzard, with the passengers forced to hole up in a secluded inn, as tensions steadily mount… Domergue had initially been played by Amber Tamblyn in the read-through, with The Wrap reporting that Leigh beat the likes of Hilary Swank, Michelle Williams, Robin Wright and Demi Moore to the role. Filming is set to get underway in Colorado on 8 December, with The Hateful Eight expected to open at some point in 2015. No specific release date has been confirmed as yet. Is Leigh a good addition to the cast? Tell us, below! Add Rep and Leave a feedback Reputation is the green button in the down right corner on my post
  4. The period drama Serena is an oddity – in the sense that we’ve heard so little about it, thus far. The flick stars Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper - their third movie together along with Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle – and was directed by filmmaker Susanne Bier, whose previous work includes the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar-winning film In a Better World. Post-production on Serenamay’ve taken longer than expected, but the movie is seemingly all finished by now – so why doesn’t it have a U.S. release date yet? Serena is now slated to hit U.K. theaters on October 24th this year, but as of right now the project isn’t slated for a U.S. launch – and thus, isn’t a potential contender in the forthcoming awards season race, despite having impressive credentials that also include best-selling source material by Ron Rash. Back in late 2013, the film was shopped around to potential distributors but, for reasons that have yet to be made public, no studios picked up the feature. Bier and her editing team, which includes frequent collaborator Pernille Bech Christensen and Matthew Newman (Drive), reportedly spent some 18 months to finish Serena, with THR‘s insider reporting that “it was just a real precision edit because the story is about a woman’s decent into madness†– coupled with Bier’s tendency (as a filmmaker) to be a perfectionist in general, that is. You can read through the synopsis for Serena below, followed by a newly-released image of Lawrence in the film. The film follows newlyweds George (Cooper) and Serena Pemberton (Lawrence) who travel from Boston to the mountains of North Carolina where they begin to build a timber empire in 1929. Serena soon shows herself to be the equal of any man: overseeing crews, hunting rattle-snakes, even saving a man’s life in the wilderness. Together, this king and queen rule their dominion, killing or vanquishing all who stand in the way of their ambitions. But when Serena learns that she can never bear a child, she sets out to murder the woman who bore George a son before his marriage. And when she starts to suspect that George is protecting his illegitimate family, the Pembertons’ intense, passionate marriage begins to unravel as the story moves toward its shocking reckoning. Both Lawrence and Cooper will have new films hitting theaters before 2014 draws to a close (not counting Cooper’s voice work as Rocket Racoon in Guardians of the Galaxy), in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and American Sniper, respectively. In other words, their careers are going perfectly well and will continue to do so in the future, regardless of what ultimately happens with Serena. (That is, whether it finally gets shown in U.S. theaters or winds up being quietly given a direct-to-home viewing release.) That said, Bier’s film looks to be a handsome historical drama, especially in terms of the costumes from Alice Cortes Kheilova (Hellboy, La Vie en Rose) – and the scripted storyline by Christopher Kyle (K-19: The Widowmaker, Alexander) sounds like it offers the sort of meaty dramatic material that will properly showcase Cooper and Lawrence’s acting prowess. So, fingers crossed, we’ll get to see it sooner than later (here in the States, that is). Serena is currently without a U.S. release date, but will open in the U.K. on October 24th, 2014. http://screenrant.com/serena-jennifer-lawrence-images-release-date/
