  2. Facebook has been busy the last several months, with some changes to Facebook itself, not to mention the creation of other apps such as Slingshot in addition to the company’s push for Facebook Messenger to become the default messaging app for Facebook users. Now, Facebook-owned Instagram is back to provide another app for Facebook users. The new app is named Hyperlapse. Hyperlapse is an app that records motion at slower times than current smartphone cameras allow so that your slow-motion videos come out with an improved quality in video production. To do this, Hyperlapse includes image stabilization technology that allows you to shoot and upload excellent videos even if your hands are shaking when you film the video. Think of it as a sort of video image stabilization for those whose smartphones lack the capability. Instagram’s newest Hyperlapse will allow Instagram users to upload quality video in the same way that they upload quality images via Instagram’s photo upload app. Instagram’s Hyperlapse adds a capability to current smartphones that normally costs $15,000 or more (with special equipment). Smartphone cameras are truly starting to compete with DSLRs. Currently, Hyperlapse is only available on iOS (for free) but is headed to Android soon. Head on over to the App Store on iOS and give it a try.
  3. CD Projekt Red's upcoming RPG launches in February 2015 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Right on schedule, Polish developer CD Projekt Red today released the intro cinematic for next year's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It's brutal (there's horse decapitation and a bird that mangles someone's face) and quite impressive. Check out the full video above. Here is how CD Projekt Red sets up the video, which it calls "The Trail": "Foreshadowing the story of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, 'The Trail' opening cinematic is an epic sneak peek into the adventure that awaits gamers in Wild Hunt. See witchers Geralt of Rivia and his mentor Vesemir pursue Geralt's long lost love, the immensely powerful, raven-black-haired sorceress-- Yennefer of Vengerberg." Wild Hunt launches February 24, 2015 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. For more, check out . Add Rep and Leave a feedback Reputation is the green button in the down right corner on my post
  4. With just one week to go before the game's launch, 2K releases "The Chosen" trailer. Ahead of the game's worldwide release on October 24, 2K Games today unveiled the intro cinematic forCivilization: Beyond Earth, which is called "The Chosen." As its name suggests, the trailer sets up the story for Beyond Earth, which involves people traveling ... beyond earth. It's an impressively produced, if not somewhat depressing, video. But it certainly did its job of getting its hooks in me. Beyond Earth was announced just six months ago during PAX East. The game marks the first time a Civilization game has fully explored mankind’s future instead of playing in the past. Beyond Earth's science fiction setting will undoubtedly be familiar to fans of Firaxis' 1999 hit, Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri, as both share a similar, humans-on-an-alien-world premise. 5. Though anticipation for Gotham is high, there are challenges facing it as it tries to establish its own separate corner in the burgeoning DC television universe. Blessed with the enviable Batman rogues gallery, there is much potential, but without the use of Batman, Gothamwill have to establish a bond with the audience through the eyes of a hero (Jim Gordon) who has always been more of an ancillary character, even as played by Gary Oldman in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. A trilogy that presents another challenge. Audiences have been spoiled rotten by Nolan’s vision of Gotham City, and when the Gotham series starts up, some may judge it harshly against the look of the films. Really, it’s an unfair comparison because one simply can’t match the visual “wow†factor of Wally Pfister’s cinematography on the small screen. But while Gotham can’t look like the Nolan films, it can certainly carry over elements of that visual identity and the feel that the Nolan films had and, in this moment in time, FOX can also present the show to fans in a way that makes it feel cinematic with a new trailer. Beginning with a green and white ratings screen that tells us that the trailer has been approved for all lawful residents of Gotham City, this latest look at Gothamdoesn’t look that much different than a lot of the other trailers we’ve seen, but there is just a little bit more intensity thanks to the way the footage is edited together. At this point, I imagine most of us could close our eyes and see some amalgamation of all the times that we have seen Thomas and Martha Wayne being murdered and it would look something like what will be shown on Gotham. Besides that, we get a better idea about the hard time that Gordon will face in the series, the ambition of Jada Pinkett Smith’s Fish Mooney and young Bruce Wayne’s developing issues. Is this approach indicative of how the show itself will be presented when it premieres? Right now we don’t know, but we expect that we’ll soon start seeing reactions from the masses after Gotham screens its pilot for the assembled fans at Comic-Con in Hall H tonight during the Warner Bros. TV panel. Gotham premieres on Monday, September 22nd, 2014 @8pm on Fox. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5S_bodvIBG4 http://screenrant.com/gotham-cinematic-trailer/
