  1. We're back baby! Good News Everyone! We've had many ups and many downs but we're back to bring you the juicy news. OVH has taken a long while to deliver, but finally we have our development servers back online. This means we have completed quite a bit of progress on our upload page. To start we will have multiple roll-outs in the coming days for our internals and staff only. Once we work out the kinks and ensure the uploads are functioning as expected, the page will be released to all users. Prepare to release your uploads in a few weeks, provided there are no major bugs. However during that time as previously stated... internals will be releasing again!! During this phase, we will also be working on getting all of our auto upload bots working with our new systems. Expect to see the TV routine to get back to normal soon enough. I hope this has been a happy update for those of you reading. P.S. Ensure you set your IRC authentication in your user security tab, otherwise you will no longer be able to access the MTV irc main or announce channel (which is now open to the userbase! See Thread: IRC Auth if you have not set up auth yet). <3 Staff

  4. Hi Everybody! With some of the minor changes coming to the site. Staff has thought to get input from our loyal users. Since OVH has been dragging their feet getting up our new servers, we're focusing our efforts in some prep work. I assure you the support tickets are in and we have our best hamsters on the case. In the meanwhile, other teams of the staff have been developing features that users have been inquiring about. This post is to gauge, should we change any of the user class names? If so, what is your suggestion? We have come up with a couple related to the film/tv industry. We would love our users input, so please comment your suggestions. Remember they have to sound like their on the same level. EX an Extra wouldn't be an Engineer level. To make it easy, each class has a number below assigned. When you post your suggestion, please post it as Runner 10 > Extra Grip 30 > Cat Member Camera Op 30 > I like this one! Runner 10 > Extra / Makeup Girl / Master Handshaker Grip 20 > Roadie / Cast Member Key Grip 30 > Best boy / Electrician / Suggestions? Camera Op 40 > ? Boom Op 50 > ? Gaffer 60 > Film Buff / Talent Scout / ? Engineer 70 > ? Donor 80 > Investor ?
  5. Hey everyone! The OVH datacenter fire is going to have a little bit of impact on our timeline. (Reference of OVH Fire) We were hosting our internal git repo there along with a testing and development server. We haven't lost any part of the site due to it but it will take a little bit of time to recreate that stuff. As to where we're at, all the backend code is done to enable the staff & FLS to update the metadata on the torrents and we only need the pages to handle the editing to be created. HOPEFULLY another 2 weeks will see that completed even with the added tasks to rebuild our development environment. Once that task is done we're going to focus on getting the upload system working for our needs. //Staff
  6. Hey there! I have just sent you a quote for MoreThanTV.me (MTV) invite. Thank you!
  7. Morethan.tv | MTV | TV - Movies | 2021 Review Name Morethantv Tracker URL https://www.morethantv.me/ Tracker Genre TV Tracker Type Ratio Free Bonus System Yes Seed Difficulty -- Tracker Signup Closed / Invites Only Banned Countries -- Traker Irc Server : irc.digitalirc.org Port : +6697 Channel : #mtv TRACKER DESCRIPTION MoreThanTV, Also Known As MTV is back again and has successfully completed its sixth year after tracker first launch in 2014 by adding many new features and with a remarkable increase in its members database and content. Tracker name indicates the truth that content covers more than TV shows and that is proven clearly with growing of movies section. Both SCENE and P2P movies resourced from many reputable HD trackers like HDBits.org, AwesomeHD, HD-Torrents, BeyondHD and M-Team TP are being uploaded with very good pre times and very fast speeds. Speeds are very good even for the old torrents thanks to many seedboxes used by faithful members and the tracker itself has a dedicated 40 TB seed server to ensure all members can download with full speed. MoreThan.TV is now a reliable home for many Movies and TV lovers due to many factors such as security, friendly helping stuff, good active community, easy, stylish and modern interface, active forums and above all it is RATIO FREE. Unlike other trackers, MTV rarely suffers from DDOS attacks thanks to good security implemented. It has two internal teams for both Movies and TV shows DRACULA and GBL which are well know for very good quality and since MTV doesn't prohibit uploading its internal to other trackers, many of them are being uploaded to other reputable HD and general private trackers. Immediately after new TV shows are being aired you can grab them from MTV with various qualities like WEB-DL, HD, SD and complete season packs which come unrared. Community is great helpful and very active in both uploading and seeding, also their request section is quite active. Many changes have been done in the past two years that helped the tracker to be among the highest level trackers like moving to Ratio Free system using Gazelle script, developing new invites system, adding new seed servers regularly and not adding too many strict rules. The whole tracker interface is mainly English as well as the forums and they have sub-forums in different languages. You can find many beautiful, attractive and stylish themes to choose from and they add new ones regularly. Forum and WIKI sections are very rich with helpful subjects and very good tutorials covering almost all bit torrent issues. Currently there are no torrents available due to recent comeback and they are working to fix this as soon as possible. 9. A message from the staff at MTV !!! We're back, we're sorry we were gone so long, new site/tracker code, blame G****, and report bugs! After an unplanned planned hiatus, we would like to welcome back all the community of MoreThanTV. Our domain needed to be changed to MoreThanTV.me, but we're still the same peeps. We would like to formally apologize for the abrupt disruption in service. Our intention was to slowly implement the transition from Gazelle to Luminance, but outside factors (read: G****) forced our hand. Massive Kudos to our development team to jump to the task and get the database moved over and our tracker working on Luminance. Without these devs, MTV's future would have been practically non-existent. So give them all some cheers in the forum! Before trying to log in, please perform a password reset using the existing email address that you used, on the NEW site. If you have any problems, hop onto #mtv-help on this IRC network with your old MTV username, and we'll see what we can do. Do not request an account, we are not recruiting any new members until further notice. The move to Luminance has had it's stumbling blocks, but our new lead developer, C***, has smoothed over most of the rough edges. That said, there will be many bugs along the way. So we need you, the users, to help catch em! Anything that looks out of the ordinary or does not function as previously, PLEASE HIT THE REPORT BUTTON and help us squash those bugs. Things that are working currently: IRC, Notifications, Forums/Polls, Wiki, Slots (NEW!), 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) (NEW!) Important note: If you use IRC, you will need to register your nick, because the IRC Auth server will be enabled soon. This will be a requirement in order to use our IRC server. Below is a list of upcoming features and their prospective ETA: IRC Auth Server - 1 week Torrent and Tracker stuff - End of October Sonarr and Radarr Integrations - End of Year Seedpoint/Credit System with Market - "I'll look into it when I have time to work on 'nice to have' features, but my gut says it'll be too heavy" - C*** BUG REPORTING - Again we encourage all users to report any bugs found. That said, please make sure you read and don’t duplicate previously reported bugs. The main bug report thread is listed on the Announcements page on the new MTV site. Reminder, we will always have sitewide freeleech! Be sure to fill out the welcome poll and await further announcements. //MTV Staff Update: Tracker The new tracker is online but the torrents from the old site have not yet been imported. Please keep the torrents and data in your client and update the announce URL to match ONE of the URLs below. The torrents in your client will then start to work once we have imported the torrent data in October. here or here Notes: Your passkey has not changed, only the host part of the announce URL is different from before You should receive an error which states "unregistered torrent", this is to be expected Older clients may not work on the HTTPS tracker, test this first before doing a mass change Update: IRC Auth The IRC auth service is now in place and ready to be enabled, but it's not the same as before. With our new IRC comes new features, one of these features is GroupServ, this allows more powerful control over channel access lists. And we're going to leverage this new feature to make MTV easier to use! Here's what you need to do in order to use MTV's IRC: Step1: Register your nick Register your nick with NickServ on our new IRC network: /ns REGISTER <email> <password> Step2: Authenticate your nick Go to the security page here on MTV and click the "Auth" button in the IRC section. Note that you can only Auth a nick that shares your username. If you have taken a different Nick then you will need to contact staff to have them approve it and auth it for you. Step3: Join our channel /join #mtv Discuss here: Thread: IRC Auth

  14. Enforcing Client Whitelist We'll be updating our client whitelist and start enforcing it immediately. This means that if the client and version you're using isn't on this list you will have to either update your client or switch it entirely. If you think a certain client and/or version should be whitelisted, you can submit a request here to have it reviewed. We strongly encourage you to take this chance to update your clients to the latest versions. Recent uTorrent 3.x Exploit Also from this point forward, all versions of uTorrent 3.0+ will be blacklisted and unusable at MTV. This is due to a serious vulnerability discovered in the uTorrent WebUI and it's RPC server interface that allows for malicious people to execute code on your system as well as gain access to your client's data. This puts every user at risk, even those not using uTorrent, so taking such drastic action is required. If you want to learn more, you can read the torrentfreak article. The vulnerability wasn't found in older versions so we are still allowing the use of any version between 2.0.x and 2.2.1, however we will be blacklisting these as well if we find sufficient reason to do so. Your choices right now, if you're using an affected version, are to either downgrade or migrate your torrents to alternative clients like qBittorrent, Deluge, Transmission or rTorrent. We'll be posting how-to guides to make the migration easier. For any technical support please post in this thread forum or visit #Help on our IRC. We will be happy to assist with any problems or questions you might have about this issue. Updating Upload Bot code On a more positive note, we have silently rolled out new auto-upload bot code that fills in much more info on auto-uploaded torrents. As time progresses, torrents with zero info and missing posters will be a thing of the past. The migration and testing phase of this code is complete, and we have migrated our Scene and P2P content bots over to the new upload script. As always, with new systems there might be a few growing pains, so we hope that everyone can help us out if we miss a couple of releases in the next few days. Best regards; - Staff
  15. Christmas interviews MTV Christmas interviews: 22nd-23rd Dec (48 hours) starting and ending 00:00 UTC.
  16. Happy 3rd birthday Morethan.tv! I can't believe that it has been three years already. To start off, I want to thank everyone that has helped us come this far; past and current staffers, FLS, and our awesome members. The fact that we have survived a year that most thought we wouldn't... Not only have we survived this past year, we have thrived, and we have plans to grow further in regards to membership and development in the time to come. Nevertheless, I think that the thing a tracker needs to survive is a fair and awesome community, and wherever I look I can say with all my heart that we have gathered people to complete that task. So for my part, I am happy with what we have created. Speaking of the future, I have learned from the quote "someone who learns from their mistakes" and by that, I won't promise any future features to be added to the tracker. But I will say that we are working on something right now. I can't say what it is or when it will be done without breaking the rule above. Just know that staff and developers here are working their hardest to deliver the best content and the best platform for all the users. We still promise the same thing that we always have, MTV was created and run by people who do this as a hobby and don't care if we have to pay out of pocket to stay in operation. But we still would like to take the time to thank all of our donors. You have allowed us to afford to operate the site for longer and far easier than just out of our pockets. Thank you so much! To our supporters on /r/trackers and ptg, it's always motivating to read that people enjoy using our site. Again I want to say that this site is run by a bunch of buddy's that aren't immune to bad motivation, so you guys are a breath of fresh air. To all others mentioned or not, Happy fucking birthday. Enjoy the (still) permanent free leech. /mic drop
  17. Planned maintenance Hi everyone, We're doing some planned maintenance on our infrastructure today so there might be one or two downtimes that are gonna be on 30min each. It's gonna be announced on IRC before we take the site down.
  18. Recent downtime Firstly we'd like to appologise for the recent extended downtime. I'm sure some of you expected the worst but it was just a series of unfortunate circumstances that led up to it. I can assure you it was not a sign of impending doom or the fact that we're going to shut down anytime soon. We run regular DB backups to make sure we can restore things without too much data loss in case of a catastrophic failure. The script takes the DB offline makes the backup and starts everything back up. It just so happpened that on this ocasion the script failed the last step and the person who mantains MTV's infrastructure was away for the weekend and was unable to fix it. We're all just people that dedicate their free time to MTV and while we do try our best, sometimes these things happen. We'll be looking into the issue to figure out a solution to prevent this kind of thing from happening again. Cheers MTV Staff

  21. Upload contest and a few more things... Hello again people of MTV, So November is approaching fast and so is the winter so staff wanted to do something fun so we decided to host a contest since it's been a while since the last one took place. This contest will be an upload contest, to see who can upload the most season packs during the month of November. The awards are VIP user classes, invites and titles for the top three contestants and there's another way to win those prizes along with being at the top during the contest To read more about the contest with the forum thread here: Upload Contest Other than that we are still looking for developers to help out with development of functionality on the site. If you have any competence with PHP, python or SQL and have some free time please shoot fallout a PM to discuss the details. You guys probably know very well that MTV hasn't had any internal releases for a while so we've decided to introduce a new group "TEPES" for Movie/TV releases, we currently have only 1 encoder and would like to invite those who're interested and have the required encoding knowledge (and some experience perhaps), if you think you're up for the task then please step forward. Sounds interesting? please contact Natsu Last but not least give a warm welcome to our new FLS MrWhite and AzrielK, they are two very competent people that will be doing various tasks around here and we're glad to have them on the team! Best Regards, - MTV Staff
  22. Staff Updates Today is the day we'll be saying farewell to one of the oldest staff member MTV has. Kilobyte has been with MTV since it's inception and his contribution to get this tracker where it is is undeniable. Some of you with older accounts will remember him but to those of you that joined recently the name might not tell you much. He was a jack of all trades going where he was needed, handled everything from uploading to user support and still had time to chat about what direction we wanted MTV to take. Although because of real life commitments he was forced to cut down on the time he spent here little by little and this is the culmination of that. We're sorry to see him go and we wish him all the best. At the same time we'll be promoting someone most of you should already be familiar with, we call him fallout. If you don't know who he is then you've not been really reading the forums, or been on IRC too much. You can take this chance to get to know him and see the kind of guy he is or just stop by and say hello. I promise he won't bite (much). We've also made a few changes to our FLS lineup in preparation for the fall shows premieres. Ment0 and Natsu have both joined the torrent editing team to help with the quality control by taking care of bad uploads, missing or incorrect info, season packs and whatever else might come up. There are still a few spots open if anyone wants to join our FLS to help with torrent editing. If you've noticed missing/incorrect torrent info, wrongly categorised torrents or just some blatant rule breaking and wanted to do something about it, now's your chance. We'll teach you everything you need to know, all we require is for you to have a significant amount of free time that you want to allocate to MTV and are willing to learn. You can apply by joining the irc #help channel or sending us a Staff PM.
