  2. The Addams Family dynamics in the upcoming Wednesday series are explained by co-showrunner Miles Millar, saying how they're like an ordinary family. Miles Millar, the co-showrunner of the upcoming Wednesday series for Netflix, discusses how the family dynamics of the Addams Family will play out in the new interpretation. The Addams Family has appeared in a variety of media since its inception in 1938, including comics, movies, television shows, and a Broadway musical. Wednesday sets itself apart by being the first project in the franchise to focus on a singular member, rather than the entire family. Wednesday will follow Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) as she comes of age in high school, trying to master her psychic abilities and stop a monstrous killing spree in town. It's unknown how big of a role the rest of the family will play, with only matriarch Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones) slated for a leading role. Millar and his partner Alfred Gough have made it clear that Wednesday is not an Addams Family reboot, but rather a new take on the source material. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Millar talks about the family's dynamics, particularly Wednesday's relationship with her brother Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez). He says that Wednesday has a love-hate relationship with her brother, protecting him from bullies but bullying him herself, a fairly typical sibling exchange. Millar goes on to say that the family has a deep love for one another that transcends their oddness and can be universally relatable. Read his quote below: She's allowed to torture him. Nobody else is. That's the difference. She will defend him to the end against bullies or anything else, but she has license to do what she wants. She's protective of him in a very Wednesday way. Every family is weird and this one happens to be extremely weird, but they love each other, and that's ultimately what it's about. They always have each other's backs and that's unconditional love. One of the main appeals of the Addams Family is their strong support for one another which demonstrates a healthy dynamic, with Wednesday hopefully continuing that idea. What Millar is describing is a pretty grounded family/sibling relationship, one that's rooted in love and set aside from the Addams' twisted sense of beauty. Millar points out that each family has its own quirks, with the Addams being quirky for comedic effect, but still maintaining the familial connection that all families have. The Addams family has been cited as one of the healthiest families in fiction, with very little interpersonal conflict, strong mutual support, and clear communication. Comedy in The Addams Family has always been in their view of the world and the joy they find in it, not relying on internal dysfunction like most family sitcoms. When Wednesday premieres, it'll be important to see how Millar and his team are able to bring that essential dynamic into a more character-focused story, with Wednesday Addams getting the chance to shine on her own. 3. Newlyweds Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) goof off on the set of Chicago Fire season 11 in a new BTS video. A brand new Chicago Fire season 11 behind-the-scenes video reveals Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide goofing on set with Chief Boden. Firehouse 51's main romantic storyline has gone through a lot in recent years, but after some hesitation from both sides, they finally tied the knot in the season 10 finale. As Severide and Kidd return to their respective jobs, many are wondering what's next for the pair. When asked about their immediate future after tying the knot, Taylor Kinney claimed he doesn't know. At that point, he said that he has yet to see the scripts for Chicago Fire season 11, and he hasn't been informed of what's next for his One Chicago character and his new wife. He did express his excitement, however, for whatever lies ahead. As revealed by a previously released Chicago Fire season 11 video, Kidd and Stella's priority is to return to work. However, whatever they decide upon with regard to their marriage, it's safe to say that everyone at Firehouse 51 will be supportive, including Chief Boden. Now, Miranda Rae Mayo takes to her official Instagram account (via One Chicago Updates) to share a brief clip featuring her and her on-screen husband, Kinney, with Eammon Walker having some fun on the set of the NBC first-responder procedural. In the caption, the actor hypes up Chicago Fire season 11.^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1558382375939309568|twgr^31958be2a2d0f643e40b74a9075aa99e8f2b44aa|twcon^s1_& Before Firehouse 51 can move forward with its members' job in season 11, it still needs to address what happens after the Chicago Fire season 10 finale. After their wedding celebration, Severide and Kidd immediately went on their honeymoon trip, but just as they entered their romantic cabin, a mysterious SUV pulled up in front of it. The car likely was following them until they reached their destination, and with the ominous framing of it, chances are that whoever is in it isn't exactly an ally. Given this, there are some concerns that Chicago Fire season 11 will kick off with a tragedy involving the new Mr. and Mrs. Severide. For what it's worth, there have been several indications that Severide and Kidd will come out of the predicament unscathed. A recent Chicago Fire season 11 image shows Severide sporting his wedding band, and Kidd does the same in the aforementioned video, so it's clear that whatever they are filming takes place after the night of their honeymoon. Despite this, it doesn't guarantee that whatever danger that the couple encounters in the cabin is quickly neutralized. It's possible that the pair are simply able to escape, but the threat continues to loom over them as season 11 of the inaugural One Chicago series move forward. 4. Leah Jeffries, who plays Annabeth in upcoming Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians, offers a small tease regarding the monsters in the show. Percy Jackson and the Olympians star Leah Jeffries is as eager as the fans for the Disney+ series' debut, noting that she cannot wait for viewers to feast their eyes on the monsters of the show specifically. Jeffries will play Annabeth Chase, a protagonist of the series as one of the novel's core trio alongside Walker Scobell's Percy Jackson and Aryan Simhardi's Grover Underwood. The series will be based on the first book in Rick Riordan's beloved YA mythological fantasy series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Though most series details have been kept under wraps, the plot of the first novel, The Lightning Thief, offers plenty of exciting twists and turns fans look forward to seeing on-screen. Based on the novel, the Disney+ series will likely see Percy, Grover, and Annabeth on the run from gods and monsters alike as they work to complete their quest. Several monsters are mentioned in The Lightning Thief, including the Minotaur, hellhounds, the Furies, a chimera, an echidna, Medusa, and more. While all the magic, monsters, and action sequences must have been a challenge to film, the effort will certainly pay off when fans see the final product. In a recent interview with, Jeffries couldn't help but hype up the Disney+ series, adding in a tease about the show's monster designs. See what she had to say below: "I'm excited for you guys to see the whole entire show. Like, I can't wait for you guys to see like, how the monsters that are in there are going to look, us going through certain things, looking for stuff. Like, I can't wait for you guys to see it, though." Jeffries' comments add more fuel to the hype that has been building for the Percy Jackson Disney+ series since it was announced. When author Rick Riordan's involvement was confirmed, many fans felt that the show would fix the damage done to the franchise by the previous live-action iteration of the story, two films starring Logan Lerman that Riordan had no part in creating. One of the many complaints book lovers had about those films was that they were disappointed by the look of the monsters as well as some other characters, feeling that the films did not accurately capture the magic of the novels. Jeffries' words validate the fan sentiment that the Disney+ show will finally do the books justice. Though the series will certainly be thrilling when it finally does premiere, fans may be waiting a while longer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians to touch down on Disney+. Though Riordan and others have revealed more information about the show, and recent videos have offered a first look at Percy, Grover, and Annabeth in costume, the most recent timeline update marked the series as a 2024 release. While they wait, those excited about the series debut can always read or re-read the novels in preparation. This adaptation promises to be much more faithful to the source material, and clearly a source of great excitement for Jeffries, which bodes well for fans of the franchise. Source:
